KDR-D22 Smart Record Display Firmware Update Data 20260124

This firmware update is exclusively for the KDR-D22.
Please note that attempting to install this on the KDR-D11, KDR-D11SE, KDR-D12, KDR-D21, or KDR-D21SE may cause the device to malfunction.

*If you have accidentally installed this on an incompatible model, please contact Kaedear Co., Ltd. customer support.

■ Update Details

1. Fixed an issue where the connection would disconnect after a certain period of time when connected to an iPhone running iOS 16 or later.

■ Update Procedure

1. Check the current version in the settings before updating.
2. Download the ZIP file and extract it.
3. Ensure the microSD card still contains the files used by the Smart Record Display (the microSD card must have been formatted by the KDR-D22), and add only the update data file to the card.
4. Turn on the Smart Record Display.
5. Once it boots up to the home screen (where front and rear camera feeds are displayed), insert the microSD card containing the update data.
6. A prompt will appear asking to confirm the update when the microSD card is inserted. Select "Update."
7. Wait a few minutes for the update to complete.
8. After it restarts, you will be prompted to update again; select "Cancel" and perform a format via the settings menu.
9. The process is complete once it operates normally and the updated version can be verified in the settings.

■ Notes

1. The update process cannot be performed on a MacOS PC.

2. The update will not start if the microSD card does not contain the original KDR-D22 files (i.e., if it was not formatted by the KDR-D22).

3. You must extract the ZIP file and add only the update data file to the microSD card. The update will not start if the ZIP file is added to the microSD card as is.
4. Formatting after the update will erase previous driving data. Please back up any necessary driving data to another storage medium or use a different microSD card to perform the update.
