KDR-D21 Smart Record Display Firmware Update Data 20260407

This firmware update data is exclusively for the KDR-D21.
Please be aware that installing it on KDR-D11, KDR-D11SE, KDR-D12, KDR-D21SE, or KDR-D22 may cause the device to malfunction.

*If you have accidentally installed it on an unsupported model, please contact Kaedear Customer Support.

■ Please purchase a microSD card if you meet the following conditions.

The following symptoms have been confirmed when updating with the downloaded version:

"Settings items differ from the default settings"

"Debug functions appear in the parking surveillance feature"

"G-sensor sensitivity becomes abnormal"

"Device does not power on or freezes"

■ Target: Open "Version" from settings and check the update date "2024〇〇〇〇 release".

Target versions are those prior to 20240431 at the time of purchase.

*For purchases made on or after 20240501, please use the downloadable version.

■ Update Contents

1. Support for wireless remote control KDR-D202, addition of settings items

■ Update Procedure

1. Check the version before updating from the settings.
2. Download and extract the ZIP file.
3. Add the update data alone to the microSD card (a microSD card formatted with KDR-D21) that still contains the Smart Record Display files.
4. Turn on the Smart Record Display.
5. Once it starts and reaches the home screen (the screen showing front and rear camera footage), insert the microSD card with the added update data.
6. Upon inserting the microSD card, you will be prompted to update. Select "Update".
7. Please wait a few minutes for the update to complete.
8. After restarting, you will be prompted to update again; select "Cancel" and perform a format from the settings.
9. If it then operates normally and the version is confirmed as updated in the settings, the process is complete.

■ Caution

1. Updating cannot be performed on macOS PCs.

2. If the microSD card does not contain KDR-D21 files (not formatted with KDR-D21), the update will not start.

3. You need to extract the ZIP file and add only the update data inside the file to the microSD card. If you add the ZIP file as is to the microSD card, the update will not start.
4. The previous driving data will be erased with the post-update format. Please move any necessary driving data to another storage medium beforehand, or use a separate microSD card for the update.
5. After the update, product settings, pairing information, etc., will be initialized. (SD card data will not be deleted.)
